The Shiogo Suspension Bridge is the longest suspension bridge over the Oi River in Kawanehon City, Shizuoka Prefecture. The suspension bridge is 220 meters long and nearly 11 meters high, with a maximum capacity of 10 people at a time.




The Bridge was built in November 1932 with its unique design that attracts many visitors with its architectural splendor, and is a must-see attraction for travelers in search of adventure, as when walking on it the bridge slowly sways, which is very exciting, but for some people it may require a little courage to cross it.





Its official name was Kunowaki Bridge, but it was renamed Kaikane Bridge in commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the city’s incorporation in 2002. Today, it is known as Shiogo Suspension Bridge, a popular bridge among tourists as trains pass underneath it, attracting the attention of people on the train.
