Toyota Stadium (豊田スタジアム Toyota Stadium) was built by the City of Toyota in celebration of the city’s 50th anniversary. Construction began in 1997 and was completed four years later.
The Toyota Stadium was officially opened on July 21, 2001, its architectural form is quite original, resembling the shape of an accordion. The stadium is named after the giant Japanese automaker Toyota Motor, and has a capacity for 45.000 spectators.
In addition to the stadium being a differentiating landmark in the city, the view from the place is beautiful! There is a modern bridge that connects the stadium to the city center, it has a park outside for children to play, a heated swimming pool and an Italian restaurant called Verde Rosso.
Disaster Prevention: The stadium has a disaster prevention system and 24-hour security system in place to allow everyone to use the venue worry-free. The stadium has a structure that can withstand a level 7 earthquake and strong winds of up to 80 m/s, and is equipped with 3 water cannons that automatically discharge water when a fire occurs, surveillance cameras and much more.
Natural grass: Natural grass is used to capture the best performance of athletes. It has a special multi-layer structure ideal for water drainage, sprinklers and an underground heating system that uses hot water piping.
Heated Seats: The 1F center section is built with 4.000 seat heating, providing comfort for spectators even in the cold of winter.
Mega video equipment: Color LED screen – 9.6 m (H) × 19.2 m (W). In addition to displaying characters for player names and scores, the equipment can also display images and videos, ideal for use at events such as movie screenings and public viewings.
Verde Rosso Italian Restaurant: Located on the fourth floor of the main grandstand. Overlooking the Yahagi River and panoramic views of Toyota City. Opening hours from 11:00 to 15:00 closed Tuesday, and you can make a reservation for a party from 10 people, reservations can be made outside of business hours, that is, your party can be scheduled at any time (0565-87-5208).
