
Nagoya Medical Center hospital in the city of Nagoya has a telephone translation system that allows conversations between three people, that is, simultaneous telephone translations called TRIOFONE.
What is Triofone?:
Triofone (Torio-hon) is a simultaneous telephone interpreting service.
This system allows for simultaneous conversation between three people; even those who do not understand Japanese can use this system to make inquiries.
Available languages include Portuguese, English, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, and others.
Note: Torio-hon – Triophone is offered to help foreigners residing in Japan communicate with city-related institutions such as hospitals, city halls, and public schools.
Private companies or those operating for commercial purposes are not permitted to use this service.
- Please bring a letter of introduction from your doctor.
First-time patients should bring a referral letter from another clinic.
Those who are visiting for the first time and do not have a referral letter will be charged a fee of 5,400 yen, which is the consultation fee plus an additional 5,400 yen.
